About Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen

The Miss Tri-Cities Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Tri-City Water Follies Association, is seeking an outstanding teen from the Tri-Cities to represent the Tri-Cities’ community at the Miss Washington Outstanding Teen Competition to be held May 2024.

Our first priority is to help provide Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen with a positive and uplifting environment where she can truly go for – and achieve – her dreams.  Secondly, we’ll assist you in achieving your personal best, not only at the upcoming Miss Washington Outstanding Teen Competition but also throughout your year of service.  This program will help prepare you for a successful life journey -- starting out with our Teen Program.

Miss Tri-Cities’ Outstanding Teen is an official  preliminary to Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.

In general, a contestant must:

• Be a female between the ages of 13 and 18. 
• Not older than 18 by December 2024
• Be a United States citizen
• Meet residency requirements for competing
• Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization
• Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
• Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the MCCSO

• Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen contestants must submit a completed application and, essay, and academic transcript or report card by April 7, 2023. Applications are available at www.misstricities.org.
• Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen will receive a crown and sash, entry fee into Miss Washington Outstanding Teen Competition, and at least $1000 cash award and a wardrobe allowance up to $500. All wardrobe items purchased with the competition allowance funds will remain with the competition organization. All other fees and expenses are the responsibility of the contestant and family. 
• The elements of the competition are similar to the Miss America program but will include physical fitness in active wear).  If selected as Miss Washington Outstanding Teen you are required to compete in Orlando, FL for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.
